Prodigy of Mobb Deep HNIC (Box Set) Music Video - REVIEW. Dec 22, 2018 He has a formula for making albums and videos - but what if you wanted to create one yourself? Well, the genius of his music goes beyond technique and yet you'd never know it from simply hearing his songs.Dan Walters: Here's what I think HUNTSVILLE - A five-year term limit on legislative service and a “slate” system that would prohibit lawmakers from being elected or defeated for public office in a single calendar year will be on the November ballot. The voters also will be asked to decide whether to allow legislators to use taxpayer money to fund political causes. Here is my take on the issues: Five-year term limits Proponents say term limits will improve the legislative process and cut down on special-interest influence. They cite the name of one of their key supporters, Gov. Bob Riley, who led the successful 2002 campaign for term limits. Riley, they say, was on the ballot in 1998 and 2002 and never lost an election. Even if true, that is a broad brush to paint a governor’s career in a positive light. Not every governor who has made the ballot has come away as successful as Riley. In 1998, Riley faced former state Sen. Jimmie Lee Worsham in a very close governor’s race. Worsham ended up with more votes. Riley, who was not eligible for re-election, finished his term with a 4-3 edge in the state Senate. It is not as if the voters can’t recognize a winning hand when they see it. And when I look at the names of the candidates who ran in 2014 to succeed Democrat Jim Hood in the 1st Congressional District, I don’t see a “slate” system in action. Still, I do like the idea of term limits. I don’t think we should live in a world where lawmakers can serve for two or three decades and be reelected all but once. Voters should demand more accountability. I can live with limits of two years, although I’d personally prefer three. And if a lawmaker continues to do a bad job after two terms, it should be easier for voters to remove him or her. ‘Slate system’ As I
